LETTER TO MY GRANDSONS

Good morning and Merry Christmas to you, my only grandson named after me. I love you and thank God for you. This writing is for you alone, even though it is being shared with the world.
God willing, I will hear from you once again after you have received this writing. Lord knows I am always blessed when I hear your voice. You might wonder why I am writing my feelings and thoughts to you in this manner. Well, there are a number of reasons, and as you read through this effort, they will each be revealed to you in one way or another.
In the past, I have suggested to many, including your father, that if you have something to say and prefer not to be interrupted, write a letter. So, here you will see that I do practice what I preach. Additionally, God has laid something on my heart that He would prefer me to speak to you about rather than someone else. To be obedient to God, I am happily doing so because there is no guarantee that I will finish this work, nor a guarantee that I will see you after you read it.
