This book is about a former CIA operative, a greedy politician and a beautiful Mexican American newspaper reporter caught up in the story of their lives with no way to tell it . The story opens in Phoenix, Arizona and quickly moves to the City of Durango, in Mexico. A housewife on vacation, is kidnapped and f inds herself in the clutches of a local politicians self appointed police force and she is held to extort money and political capital. Her husband an Ex-CIA drop out comes to retrieve her by working through the proper channels and is stone walled in a political stand-off. But he pledges to get his wife back by any means nec essary, and he winds up kidnapping the Police Chief’s wife and daughter to make his point. Unfortunately while the local politi cian continues his plot to steal the $1,000,000.00 dollar ransom money the wife is killed. From there Jim Durant, the victim’s husband goes on a violent killing spree that ends up with a body count in excess of 40 peo ple, including the kidnappers. But that is only the beginning, come follow this American killing machine to the door step of the City of Durango kidnapping mastermind, someone they least ex pected. In the end the U.S. Ambassador sends in two Special Forces units to settle the score and bring back the hostages…
