Dr. Montgomery outlines his theory on the origin of Evil and the re sulting outgrowth of sin based on Biblical and modern-day facts and mankind’s understandings of same respectively. Montgomery’s theory on Evil and Sin was taken from the Bibles Book of Genesis 2:6-9 KJV The reference made in verse- 6 “But there went up a mist from the earth and watered the whole face of the ground.” Troubled Montgomery as he realized that the mist spoken of in vs 6 might have represented that which was Evil. Evil being for want of an exact description, a being or entity one could define as evil. That which was not created by God since he de test evil but an entity that is, because of God. That would ex plain why or how Gods created man was contaminated and found to be susceptible to sinning. However Montgomery explains that he theory does not ad dress the question of how evil overtook the angel Lucifer in the midst of heaven which was it’s genesis into God’s created universe. This theory is groundbreaking and worthy of consideration in understanding how important it is to live a Godly lifestyle if one is interested in dwelling with God in eternity. While no one really knows the origin of evil nor the origin of God at best we can only speculate Montgomery has articulat ed a theory that might bring mankind closer to understanding why Evil can only be dealt with by God.
