Pronounced, Jake “B Nimble” Rodriguez is a music industry professional with 30+ years of experience as a Multi-Instrumentalist, Arranger, Music Producer, Recording, Mixing and Mastering Engineer, Educator, Record Label Owner, A&R Rep, and Artist Management.

Early career:
Born Juan Rene Rodriguez in East Chicago, IN, he was part of the Gary, IN based band “Cruise Control” in high school. The band opened for Major R&B Acts like Kool & the Gang, The S. O.S . Band, and Zapp. In the late 1980s, his “Cruise Control” offshoot band, “Kulur Blynd,” relocated to Minneapolis in search of more music opportunities.
Audio Education:
He attended The Recording Workshop in Ohio in 1990 and Columbia College in Chicago in 1991 for Recording Engineering.
Urban Grooves Productions:
Founded in 2005, initially formed as a company to house their growing music catalog, but currently, offers a range of artist services, including recording, music production, artist development, and branding. It relocated to Austin, TX, in 2010.
Takeoff Terminal Studios:
In 2018, Rodriguez formed this studio in Austin to record and produce music for local and national artists.
BUDAful Sound Studios:
As of January 2024, JkBNmbl also serves as the Owner and CEO of BUDAful Sound Studios in Buda, Texas. Besides recording and producing music, BUDAful Sound Studios also offers artist consultation services, marketing, promotion, artist branding, and many more different strategic ways to increase an artist’s fanbase and online presence.

He is the host of the podcast, “Within the Studio Walls,” and has written a blog about music production and the industry.
